Meet Dr. Mugdha Patwardhan, MD, DDS

Dr. Mugdha Patwardhan originally hails from the east coast but spent her formative years in Southern California. She attended UC Riverside where she graduated with a degree in Biology in 1995. In keeping with Dr. Patwardhan’s interest in the Life Sciences, she spent a year as a researcher in Genetics studying transpositional elements and recombinant DNA technology. She then attended UCLA where she completed a Masters degree in Public Health as an Epidemiology major. Dentistry was the next step in Dr. Pat’s career. She matriculated at USC School of Dentistry where she was a member of the Psi Omega dental fraternity and participated in the USC Mobile Dental Clinic community outreach program. It was during this time that she realized her love for the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and so upon graduation began her residency program, concurrently attending medical school at New York Presbyterian Hospital Columbia in New York City. Dr. Patwardhan has been in private practice since 2010 both in New York, and now here in San Francisco.
Dr. Patwardhan is a member of the American Dental Association, New York Dental Association, Bronx County Dental Society. Her interests outside of the field include Olympic and power lifting, tennis, and running.
